New Service: HOT BOX Waxing

Hot box waxing is the best method to condition ski bases. Base prep ski wax deeply penetrates into the ski base in just a few cycles vs. waxing with an iron, which can take up to 20+ cycles for full saturation. Hot boxing results in greater base protection and faster skis.

Ski bases are made of a polyethylene plastic material (p-tex). Inexpensive, entry level ski bases are made of extruded polyethylene, which is formed into a sheet of plastic using high heat. Extruded p-tex has little ability to absorb wax. Performance ski bases are made of sintered polyethylene powder that's pressed together under high pressure to bind the grains of polyethylene together leaving microscopic spaces. These spaces have the ability to absorb wax, which is necessary to protect the base from damage due to the high friction created while skiing.

We apply only Nanox Ski Wax base training or CFX. Simply the fastest wax in the market. Nanox Ski Wax is Supplier of the Italian National Team. Learn more about Nanox. Click here.

How often should bases been waxed?

Every snow day. Wax is an hydro repellent and will protect your bases.

Edges are made of steel and need a care. They are the stearing wheel of your skis, you will feel safe with beveled edges.

Sharpened edges will help you maintain control while making turns in the snow. If your skis have dull edges, the likelihood of them slipping out is much higher. Skiers who perform a lot of tight turns or do tricks will need to make sure that their edges are always sharpened. These are the basics of ski care.

How we work?

First we flat the bases of your skis and tuning the edges by hand or machine as you decide. We use Nanox Magnet Diamond to finish edges with impressive results.

Maintenance skis guidelines:

1. After each day of snow: wiping down the equipment.
2. Use ski straps to protect your bases and make transportation easy.
3. Use a ski bag, always wipe your skis before to avoid corrosion, to transport and hold them on a wall mounting ski rack.
4. After skiing check the base, the edges, etc.
5. We recomend to use Nanox Magnet Diamond for deburring the edges.
